Suites
Is the water of drinking quality?
The hotel is supplied with water from the Kaprun mountain springs. Mountain spring water of the highest drinking water quality flows from all taps.
Are the cosmetic products organic?
All cosmetic products in the room and in the hotel are organic and vegan.
When are the suites ready for occupancy?
Our suites are available to you from 3.00 pm at the latest on the day of arrival, but you are welcome to use the spa earlier or leave your suitcases with us and head straight out onto the piste. If you are arriving later, please let us know in advance.
By when should the check-out take place?
We ask you to vacate the suites between 10.00 and 10.30 am on the day of departure.
Do the suites have a balcony?
Each of our suites has a balcony or terrace.
Is there a lift in the hotel?
A large passenger lift takes you easily to every floor.
Is there a coffee machine?
Italian espresso coffee in the form of Pascucci Volo sticks is available free of charge in every suite. We are happy to bring a Nespresso machine to your suite or you can visit us in the Wirtshaus and try our delicious barista coffee from the La Cimbali portafilter machine.
Arrival & Departure
Are the car parks free of charge?
We have a limited number of free outdoor parking spaces. The underground car park is at your disposal for an extra charge of € 10,00 / day.
Is there a car park at the Hotel Auhof?
Yes, we offer our guests a limited number of free parking spaces directly at the hotel. A limited number of garage parking spaces are also available.
Are there charging stations for electric cars?
Yes, there are even 2 public e-charging stations right in front of the house.
How long is the journey by car to Salzburg, Munich?
Salzburg is 70 km and about 80 minutes away, Munich 200 km and about 140 minutes.
Can I arrive without a car?
Absolutely! The connection by plane to Salzburg or Munich is very good, we will be happy to organise a shuttle for you, as well as to a train station of your choice, both Zell am See and Salzburg are possible. Our reservations team will be happy to inform you of the costs per shuttle.
Do I need snow chains in winter?
Winter tyres are sufficient. The road services clear the roads regularly and reliably.

When should I disclose allergies and food intolerances?
Please inform us of any allergies and food intolerances before your stay, if possible.
Can special diets also be implemented during the stay?
Vegetarian, vegan or e.g. gluten-free diets do not pose any problems. Please let us know before your stay so that we can prepare even better for you.
Is there a restaurant at the Hotel Auhof?
Yes, our hotel has an a la carte restaurant. The Wirtshaus offers regional and traditional dishes & continuous cuisine. From mid-December to mid-May it is open 7 days a week, the rest of the time Monday is a day off.
Where can I find the breakfast buffet & when?
You will find the breakfast buffet from 08:00 to 10:00 in our inn

Your swimsuit & slippers! Your wellness bag with sauna towels is waiting for you in your suite.
What are the opening hours of our partner company, the Tauern SPA in Kaprun?
SPA Water World is open from 09:00-21:00 and the SPA Sauna World from 10:00-21:00.
Where is the spa located?
The spa is not located in the house, but in our partner company which is 700 metres away from us.
Active winter
Is there a ski hire service?
There are many good ski hire shops in Kaprun, but we always recommend Europ Sport to our guests, where a special discount awaits you as a guest of the Auhof.
How much does a ski depot cost?
The price of a large ski depot for 4 persons is € 10,- per day and the small ski depot (for 2 persons) is € 5,- per day.
Can I book a ski depot?
No lugging from the piste to your accommodation & back! Especially for Auhof guests, each suite has its own locked and heated ski depot directly on the piste! The ski depot is located at the valley station of the Maiskogelbahn at Sport Bründl.
Is there a ski school nearby?
There is a children's ski slope directly in front of the house. We are happy to help you choose the perfect ski school for your needs.
Are ski passes included?
Ski passes are not included in the price but you can get them directly from us at reception. Prices are the same everywhere. You can let us know in advance how many days you need a ski pass for and we will prepare it for you without any complications. No waiting times & be the first on the piste.
How far away is the ski resort?
The Maiskogelbahn gondola valley station and thus the Kitzsteinhorn ski area is only 200 metres away from our hotel. You can reach the Schmittenhöhe / Areit in Zell am See by ski bus free of charge in just 10 minutes.
Dogs in the Auhof
Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?
Your dog is also a welcome guest at the Auhof restaurant. While you enjoy the regional delicacies, your dog can relax and experience the cosy atmosphere.
Are dogs allowed at Hotel Auhof?
At the Hotel Auhof in Kaprun, not only two-legged friends are welcome - your four-legged friends are also welcomed with open arms! We are a dog-friendly hotel and attach great importance to ensuring that dogs feel just as comfortable with us as their owners.

With the written confirmation your reservation is binding, furthermore we ask you to transfer a deposit.
